Tristan has always been good at taking care of pokemon since he cared for his dads pokemon after he passed away by a raging gyarados from the lake of rage.after that his mom and him moved from mahogany town to cherrygrove city.he has always wanted to be a breeder and coordinator.tristan has a vast knowledge of herbs,oils, and soaps since his mom owned a small store that sold her own created oils,salves,and soaps that could be used by both pokemon and trainers.unlike most trainers who get their starter pokemon from their regions professor Tristan got his starter pokemon squirtel from professor oak instead of getting a starter pokemon from his native regions professor which is professor elm.he then traveled over johto to make his dream of being a coordinates/breeder come true.he has 2 ribbons he won from a pokemon contest in goldenrod city and cherrygrove city
